What’s equally impressive, however, other than the taste of these chips is what they don’t have – no trans fats, no gluten, no cholesterol, and no artificial flavors. Speaking of which, there are a number of flavors of Protein Chips for you to try, including my favorite, Chili Nacho Cheese, Crispy Parmesan, and Lemon Herb. Each one ounce serving provides a whopping three grams of fiber, and nine grams of lean soy protein (which is one third of the total recommended daily allowance of protein). The FDA says that daily diets that include 25 grams of soy protein may help to reduce the incidence of heart disease, when combined with a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. These chips are also a source of folic acid (100% of the RDA), Vitamin B-12 (100 % of the RDA), and calcium, and of course, are made with natural whole grains.
I love to run across products like these Protein Chips that allow health-conscious folks like myself to snack without guilt. These are the perfect lunchbox companion and they are available in individual single-serve bags that make portion control easier. You can buy them at natural food stores as well as online at Amazon.
Enjoy!
