So let’s begin with my personal favorite, the strawberry sorbet flavor. This deliciously fruity and somewhat sweet yet tart push pop, like all of the other flavors, is made from only real fruit. That’s whole fruit that is ripened - not from concentrate and not from fruit juice. You can really taste that real strawberry flavor in these treats. And that also preserves the nutritional value of the fruit itself. I have also tried the raspberry and the blueberry varieties, and Jolly Llama has two more flavors that I’ve not tried (but plan to) – Acai berry and mango.
But the goodness of the Jolly Llama brand doesn’t stop there by any means. I also like the entire concept of this growing company. Jolly Llama donates a portion of the sale of their yummy treats to various organizations that are working to put an end to world hunger, which is everyone’s problem, no matter where you live. And the packaging that they use for their push pops is made only from sustainable and recyclable materials to help the Earth breathe a bit easier.
So as the simmering days of summer wear on, this is the perfect treat that will allow you a bit of indulgence on your diet without having to feel any pangs of guilt. One tube of Jolly Llama Sorbet Squeeze-Ups in Strawberry is only 70 calories (1 weight watchers point) and contains just 15 grams of sugar while providing 50% of the Vitamins C and A that you need in your diet each day. The other flavors are low-cal, as well: blueberry and mango have 80 calories, while raspberry and Acai berry have 70 calories.
I found these fabulous push up pops at my local Whole Foods, but the Jolly Llama company has a great store locator on their site as well. Enjoy!
