As much as I *love* Kashi whole grain puffs, I sometimes find myself desiring new flavors of cereals to eat, so I'm always on the lookout for new low calorie cereals at the grocery store. By the way, something I always look for when I'm shopping for cereal is the serving size, as they vary quite a bit from cereal to cereal (roughly from 1/2 cup to 1.25 cups). So, a small number of calories per serving doesn't always mean that the cereal is low calorie.
Anyway, I recently discovered Kashi Mighty Bites at Whole Foods. Inside is a cute little people shaped cereal that is made out of whole oat flour and honey. Not only does the cereal taste delicious, but it is packed with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, Iron and Zinc.
A serving of the honey Mighty Bites is 1 cup (hooray!) and 120 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of protein (so 2 weight watchers points). It makes a great breakfast or low calorie snack!
What is your favorite cereal? A couple other of my favorites are Barbara's Puffins, Barbara's Shredded Spoonfuls, and Erewhon "Rice Krispies".

I will definitely be looking out for these! 120 calories for a WHOLE cup? That sounds like a dream compared to 99% of the cereals out there. lol

I don't think I've met a Kashi product I haven't loved - especially their cereals and their thin crust pizzas. Yum! I love Kashi Go Lean and Go Lean Crunch and the regular Puffins too. These Mighty Bites just started popping up in my markets and I was curious about them. Thanks for the review, they sound yummy.

Sorry I have been a bad commenter lately! Things have been crazy! I want to try both the puffs and the might bites! Josh is big on cereal and I'm always looking for new healthy ones for him to try! I'm with veggiegirl though- PB puffins are the best!
