Do you like Mint?

metromint waterIf you like mint (and I mean if you *really* *really* like the taste of mint), and you are looking for a way to drink flavored water (without added sweeteners or calories), then you might want to try Metromint waters. I discovered Metromint waters one day when I was really thirsty while shopping at Whole Foods. When I saw that the water had 0 calories, was all natural, and was available in a *chocolate mint* flavor, I just had to try it. I had never tasted chocolate flavored water before! :)

The chocolate flavored water tasted very fresh -- it was both chocolatey and minty, as one would expect. I actually think it might have tasted better without the strong mint flavor, although I got more used to the mint flavor as I drank more.

When I went to check out the water on the metromint site, I actually learned that mint might be good for me (I didn't know this before). According to their site, mint:

- Helps ease nausea
- Improves digestion, & reduces heartburn
- Improves bad breath
- Clears congestion related to colds and allergies
- Eases stress and tension

Pretty interesting!

So, metromint water come in several flavors including, cherry mint, lemon mint, orange mint, peppermint and spearmint. I haven't yet tried the cherry mint flavor, but I'm very intrigued and will try it soon. The bottles each hold 16 ounces of water, so each one counts for 2 cups of your daily water intake.

By the way, if you are looking for low calorie flavored water, I wanted to point towards some previous postings where I wrote about making your own fruity flavored water, Hint water, as well as 2 calorie fizzy vitamin tablets called Zenergize that you can add to your water.

Enjoy!
