A while ago when I blogged about fiberful bars (made by Trader Joe's), I mentioned that I would later blog about an additional (and equally yummy) fruit bar that I also love! This totally natural & organic bar is made by Fruitabu and is called "smooshed," and luckily it is a bit easier to find in stores than the fiberful bar (especially for those of you who don't have a Trader Joes near by). I buy my smooshed bars at Whole Foods, but they are also available in other natural food stores, as well as on Amazon.
The smooshed bars have no added sugar, are each half a serving of fruit, and come in several yummy flavors including apple, apricot, grape, raspberry, and strawberry. What is great about these bars vs. the fiberful bars is that they have less calories (the smooshed bars are 40 calories vs. the 60 calories in the fiberful bars). However, because the fiberful bars have added fiber, they come out to be 0 weight watchers points, whereas these bars are 1 WW point. So, depending on your needs one bar might make sense for you over the other. I find the fruitabu bars to be slightly more sweet and tasty than the fiberful bars, but everyone has their own preferences. They are definitely worth checking out, though as they make a great low calorie snack!

Picked up a box of the strawberry flavor based on your recommendation, and tried one out this afternoon. A ridiculously great use of 80 calories. I like these better than the fruit leathers, and they're so fun to eat. Thank you! Love this blog.
