One of the things I like about not eating meat very often is that it forces me to find creative ways to integrate protein into my diet. Protein is a vital part of your diet since it helps you build strong bones, skin, muscles, blood, hair & fingernails, amongst other health benefits.
I think Boca Spicy Chicken ("Chick'n") Patties are delicious, and their high level of protein (11g per serving) is just an added bonus to something that I already enjoy eating. As you might be imagining, these patties are a great low-fat substitute to fried chicken. The fun thing about them is that there are so many things you can do with them, as they make such a great low calorie lunch option! Here are some ideas: (1) eat them alone for a high protein snack, (2) put one between two slices of low calorie bread with some fixings to make a warm sandwich, (3) combine with some low fat cheese, lettuce, and low calorie pita bread (4) cut the patty up into small slices and put on a salad, or (5) integrate into a low calorie whole wheat tortilla with lettuce, avocado, low fat sour cream, salsa, and other ingredients to make a burrito.
If you really want to splurge, you can also bake some french fries and eat them with a boca chicken sandwich, or patty, thereby creating a delectable (yet totally non-fried), low calorie & low fat dinner that you might not have ever dreamed possible!
Boca Spicy Chicken Patties are all natural & cholesterol-free, tasty, filling, and have only 160 calories (3 weight watchers points). I buy them at my local Whole Foods, but they seem to be available at many supermarkets.
Enjoy!
